Treatments We Fund

Get to Know Us
Brave Heart funds all types of heart procedures, surgeries, and medical services needed to save the life of a child diagnosed with a Congenital Heart Defect (CHD).

Congenital Heart Defects (CHD) are the most common birth defects and the leading cause of death in the first year of life. 1 in 100 babies is diagnosed with heart disease at birth worldwide. In Lebanon, 700 newborns are diagnosed with CHD every year, more than 450 of whom will need some form of surgical intervention or non-surgical procedures.

We fund all types of heart procedures and interventions, including open heart and closed heart surgeries, cardiac catheterizations, diagnostic tests, cardiac imaging, and EKG tests. We also cover the children's hospital stays until they are ready to go home.

There are at least 35 types of defects ranging from simple to complex malformations. Most defects can be corrected or improved with surgery or newly available non-surgical procedures, using catheter-based therapy, coils, stents, and implantable devices. With the appropriate resources and treatment options, most children born with CHD can lead a healthy, normal life.

All they need is your help.
